The SMS gateway on the Vodafone web site is a service intended to complement the other SMS products offered by Vodafone. This service enables individuals to send short text messages to Vodafone subscribers, through the Internet. This is only one of many SMS services that Vodafone offers to customers and even people who are not yet customers. Using the Internet you can also send SMS messages through e-mail.

Basic Conditions

• The SMS gateway on the Vodafone web site is provided free of charge to customers and non-customers.
• As a free service, Vodafone does not guarantee the delivery of all messages sent from this gateway.
• Because of the free and anonymous nature of this service, Vodafone has instituted the following security features to protect our customers from unsolicited messages:
  • One message may be sent from the gateway every 15 seconds.
  • Vodafone customers can receive up to 50 messages per day from this gateway
  • Vodafone customers may elect to block all messages coming from this gateway. Visit My Vodafone to block messages.
  Vodafone believes that these precautions should not affect the usefulness of the gateway for individual users.
• The SMS gateway on the Vodafone web site is not intended for commercial use (i.e. mass mailing of promotional material)
